Teaching and Mentoring
I have BEEN TEACHING MUSIC AND PERFORMANCE FOR 34 YEARS
I teach singing, songwriting, clarinet, and bass guitar. I’m also a performance coach.
I’m completing a PhD specialising in non-singers (beginner singers who have great difficulty singing in tune and in time). I have a Masters of Music Studies (Vocal Pedagogy), a Bachelor of Music (Sonology/Sound Engineering), and an AmusA (Clarinet).
I lecture in Popular Music performance at Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University (where I am also undertaking the PhD). I tutor Voice and Ensemble at JMC Academy. I also teach the general public privately and am studying acting to complement my work as a performance/entertainment coach.
For over 20 years I was a co-owner and director of Independent Music Academy, Queensland’s largest private music school. We also imported Fractal Audio gear.
